Cookie policy

bosphorus.cruises sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics. The only cookies you may get come from the GetYourGuide and Tiqets booking calendars, and you can choose to load those only when you click.

The short version

  • Our own pages set no cookies: no analytics, no advertising, no tracking.
  • Some pages include live booking calendars from GetYourGuide and Tiqets. These may set their own cookies.
  • You choose whether those calendars load automatically or only on click, in Calendar settings at the bottom of every page.
  • Your choice is remembered in your browser's localStorage under the key bc-cc. It is not a cookie and it is never sent to us.

Cookies from the booking calendars

GetYourGuide and Tiqets provide small availability calendars that show dates and prices for a tour without leaving our page. To work, the calendar loads a script from the platform's servers. That script runs under the platform's control and may set cookies or use similar storage, for example to remember your language or currency, to measure how the calendar is used, or to credit us with a commission if you go on to book.

We do not control these cookies and cannot read them. Their names, purposes and lifetimes are set by GetYourGuide and Tiqets and described in their own cookie and privacy policies.

Headout has no calendar on our pages; Headout products appear as ordinary booking buttons, and nothing loads from Headout until you click one.

Your choice: automatically or only on click

The Calendar settings link at the bottom of every page opens a short panel called Booking calendars with two choices:

Only on click Calendars stay off; each shows a "Show calendar" button that loads it when you click bc-cc = 0

Until you choose, the calendars load automatically. You can change your mind at any time by opening the panel again. Choosing "Only on click" stops calendars loading from then on; it does not delete cookies the platforms have already set. To remove those, clear the cookies for getyourguide.com and tiqets.com in your browser settings.

Clearing your browser's site data also removes the bc-cc setting, and the calendars go back to loading automatically.

Clicking a booking link takes you to GetYourGuide, Headout or Tiqets. Once you are on their site, their cookie policies apply. The link carries a partner code so the platform can attribute the booking to us; it carries no personal data from our site. More in the affiliate disclosure.

What we do not use

  • No analytics tools of any kind.
  • No advertising or retargeting cookies.
  • No social-media buttons or embedded posts.
  • No third-party fonts or maps: fonts are hosted on our own server, and the charts are drawn from OpenStreetMap data on our own pages.
