This site gives information only. We do not sell trips: when you book, your contract is with the platform or the operator. Fares, timetables and rules in Istanbul change often, so check with the operator before you travel.

About these terms

These terms apply to everyone who uses the website bosphorus.cruises. By using the site you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. Questions go to hello@bosphorus.cruises.

Information only

bosphorus.cruises is an independent editorial guide to Bosphorus cruises, ferries, tours and activities in Istanbul. Everything on it is general information to help you choose. It is not a booking service, travel advice tailored to you, or an official statement by any operator, ferry company, pier, palace, museum or public authority. We are not affiliated with any of them.

We work hard to keep fares, timetables, piers, opening hours and rules accurate, and each page shows when it was last updated. But they change, sometimes without notice: tariffs are revised, timetables switch between summer and winter, palaces close on certain days, and weather stops boats. Always confirm the details with the operator, the platform or the official source before you travel. Where we link an official page, that page is the authority, not ours.

Bookings are with the platforms and operators

We do not sell tickets or take payments. Booking links on this site take you to GetYourGuide, Headout or Tiqets. If you book, your contract is with that platform and with the operator who runs the trip, under their terms and conditions, including:

  • the price you pay and what it includes;
  • the meeting point, pick-up and departure time on your voucher;
  • changes, cancellations and refunds, which differ by listing (some listings cannot be cancelled at all);
  • what happens if a trip is cancelled because of weather, fog or an operational problem.

Tickets for public ferries and tours bought at the pier are contracts with the ferry company or operator that sells them.

Limits of our responsibility

To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for:

  • changes made by operators, ferry companies or authorities to routes, timetables, piers, boats, prices, inclusions or rules;
  • cancellations, delays or changes caused by weather, sea conditions, fog, strait closures or any other reason outside our control;
  • prices and availability on GetYourGuide, Headout or Tiqets, which change daily and may differ from the "from" prices shown on our pages;
  • the services of the platforms and operators, including their customer service, refunds and the quality of the trip;
  • the content of external websites we link to.

Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.

Some links earn us a commission from the platforms. You pay the same price. How this works, and what it does not influence, is set out in the affiliate disclosure.
